The
Utah
State
Developmental
Center
(USDC)
in
American
Fork
is
a
state-operated
intermediate
care
facility
that
provides
24-hour
residential
services
and
supports
for
individuals
with
developmental
disabilities.
The
Center
has
on-site
medical
and
dental
services
in
addition
to
other
professional
services.
This
program
is
intended
to
serve
individuals
who
are
18
years
or
older,
who
have
complex
needs,
and
are
in
need
of
intensive
health
supports
or
training.
Because
state
laws
and
the
courts
consider
this
a
restrictive
setting,
admission
is
considered
only
after
the
Division
of
Services
for
People
with
Disabilities
Emergency
Services
Management
Committee
has
reviewed
the
options
for
least
restrictive
and
most
appropriate
available
alternatives.
