As
a
Resource
Center,
the
Utah
State
Developmental
Center,
in
partnership
with
the
community,
will
promote
a
standard
of
excellence
empowering
personal
choice
and
supporting
alternatives
to
maximize
independence
of
all
people.
The
Developmental
Center
continues
to
develop
and
offer
many
of
our
traditional
services
to
people
who
live
off
campus.
While
some
of
these
services
are
tied
to
the
campus,
(i.e.,
dental,
therapy
pool,
communication
lab),
many
are
mobile
services.
Our
primary
target
population
for
mobile
services
is
rural
areas
of
the
state
for
assessments,
positioning
and
seating
evaluations,
product
design
and
procurement,
follow-up,
and
consultations.
All
services
are
offered
and
have
a
required
fee.
There
has
been
a
strong
interest
in
the
hydrotherapy
pool,
assistive
and
adaptive
technology,
dental,
and
communication
lab.
These
efforts
are
clearly
leading
to
the
actualization
of
the
Center’s
role
as
a
Resource
to
the
State.
The
Developmental
Center
is
part
of
the
array
of
services
provided
by
the
Division
of
Services
for
People
with
Disabilities,
and
is
owned
and
operated
by
the
State
of
Utah.
